Some Colour & Pattern Examples From Our Cats

The most outstanding feature of the Ragdoll cat is their blue eyes, a beautiful retroussé nose and their smile - they have an expression like no other cat! Ragdoll kittens are completely white at birth. By the time they are 10 days old, their points and patterns begin to make an appearance. The coat colour and length take time to fully develop, usually reaching peak display when the cat is 2 to 3 years old. They reach their full weight when approximately 4 years old. Ragdolls are one of the bigger domestic cat breeds, at full maturity males can reach in excess of 6kg and females 4-6kg.

Ragdolls come in three patterns:

1. Bi-color (white, plus a solid color, with both evenly distributed)
2. Mitted (four white paws, a white chin and a white belly stripe)
3. Colourpoint (paler coat with dark points on the extremities)

These patterns come in six colours:

1. Seal 
2. Blue 
3. Chocolate 
4. Lilac 
5. Red
6. Cream
